Astrology: Marry Him?

Let's face it . . . you don't have to be Nostradamus to guess that, by the time a Seeker asks a Witch to get involved in her love life, you will be dealing with some kind of emotional dumpster fire. That's the default in my experience, anyway. There are exceptions, of course. But if everything is going smashingly well in a relationship, no one thinks of calling the Witch.

This female Seeker had her boyfriend ask her to marry him. But she wasn't sure of her answer. They lived in different cities and met only infrequently because of COVID restrictions. The man was also much older than the Seeker.

Question: Should she marry him?

Answer: No. He wants a young trophy wife, and doesn't care about her emotions at all. If she marries him and moves to his city, she will suffer greatly and be unhappy.

The Seeker's significators are Mars and the Moon.
The Man's significators are Venus and the Sun.

At first glance, we have some very good reception here. The Man's Sun loves the Seeker's Mars. The Seeker's Mars exalts the Sun, and her Moon loves his Venus. Great! This is a very promising start.

So, what's the problem? Why is she even asking the question? She probably cannot articulate the exact reasons for her misgivings, but the Queen of Heaven certainly can.

The Man's Venus rules itself: he is self-absorbed, and interested in himself. He has trivial, minimal, nearly nonexistent interest in her Moon, i.e. her emotions or heart. The Man's Sun, as we have seen, is very keen on her Mars -- her head, her personality -- but has no positive interest in her Moon, i.e., her emotions or heart. In fact, his Sun in Scorpio carries the Moon into its fall. He doesn't want to deal with any emotional stuff at all beyond the bare minimum. These features look to me like she will be treated as a young trophy wife.

But, no judgment here. Maybe the Seeker wouldn't mind being a trophy wife, correct? We can tell from the chart, though, that she will mind. The Moon exalts itself, the Seeker's emotions and heart are very important to her. There is no way she is going to put her emotional nature on the back burner and just be a young pretty thing on some man's arm. This is a big negative.

Another big negative is that the Man's Venus has heavy interest in Saturn, while the Seeker's Mars hates Saturn. We don't need to identify exactly what Saturn is. It's enough to note as a minor testimony that there is something that he really loves that she really hates. It could be something like golf or shuffleboard or tennis or something recreational like that (the man's turned lord 5).

But there are two other big negatives that eclipse that minor Saturn testimony. The Man's Sun and the Seeker's Moon are about to oppose each other. Their other significators -- the Man's Venus and the Seeker's Mars are also headed toward opposition. These two oppositions constitute a very clear "no" to the question. There will be great regret on her part if she marries him. Despite there being some affection between them, she is never going to get what she wants from him emotionally. And I mean never. Both of his significators are in early degrees of their respective signs and, in the context of the question, they might as well be in those signs forever.

In such a matter, the discerning Witch can help a Seeker avoid a truly miserable fate by untying the various strands of the parties' feelings and motivations.

*** Blessed be to those who serve the Great Mother and the Horned Father.
