I've done quite a few of these "When will I get pregnant?" questions for women in their 20s and 30s. Oftentimes women become nervous when they are trying to get pregnant, but it doesn't happen within the first 5-6 months. An astrologer -- or a Witch trained as such, as I am -- can often put their minds at ease.
Here, the 32-year-old Seeker and her husband were trying for several months to get pregnant, but had been unsuccessful. She was starting to get a bit worried, so she asked me:
Question: When am I going to be pregnant?
My answer: The Heavens say by the third week of September 2013.
Result: And so it came to pass. The Seeker learned on September 12, 2013, that she was pregnant.
FERTILITY POSITIVES: First of all, you will usually not know anything about the fertility potential of your Seeker, so that must be checked first. It is very reasonable that a healthy 32-year-old woman (as opposed to a 72-year-old woman)_should get pregnant, but we don't know anything about her genetics, past diet, health conditions, and so on, so the first thing that must be done is to check the fertility potential of the couple. This is done by evaluating for fertility Lords 1, 5, 7, and 11, and the Moon. Here, three are in fertile signs (Saturn, Moon counted twice), one is in a barren sign (Venus), and one is in a neutral sign (Mars). Three testimonies of fertility are more than sufficient to show this woman can have a healthy pregnancy.
FERTILITY NEGATIVES: She has some negatives for fertility, though. (1) The 5th house cusp is bounded by malefic fixed stars, Algol and Alcyone. (2) The Moon is void of course. (3) The South Node is conjunct the 5th house cusp. This last, in particular, is going to give her trouble, and is an indication of miscarriages on the way to a successful pregnancy.
FERTILITY JUDGMENT: Nonetheless, her fertility potential is sufficiently good. The negatives just tell us that she isn't going to get pregnant easily, and that she is going to have some difficulties along the way. Knowing that she *can* have a healthy pregnancy means that we can ignore some of our usual rules. In bringing together Mother and Baby, we can ignore prohibiting aspects and changes of sign, for instance. What we CANNOT ignore, though, are these two prohibitions: a SIGNIFICATOR GOING INTO STATION, or a SIGNIFICATOR CONJUNCTING THE SUN.
SIGNIFICATORS: The Seeker is Lord 1, Saturn, and the Moon. The Baby is Lord 5, Venus.
ASPECTS?:
(1) Can we bring together Saturn and Venus? No, we can't. The Sun will conjunct Saturn long before Venus reaches Saturn, so that's out as a prohibition.
(2) Can we bring together the Moon and Venus? Yes, we can, and without any interference from the Sun or Venus going into station (the Moon can't go into station . . . astronomically impossible). We can bring the Moon and Venus together by a conjunction, which will perfect at 10 Virgo 55.
TIMING: To reach 10 Virgo 55, the Moon will have to travel . . .
9 degrees 6 minutes out for the rest of Cancer.
30 degrees 0 minutes for all of Leo.
10 degrees 55 minutes for so much of Virgo.
That totals 49 degrees and 61 minutes, or 50 degrees and 1 minute, so we will round it to 50 units of some time.
TIME UNIT: The Moon is an angular house and cardinal sign, so the timing unit must be medium. We can use our common sense here. 50 days would be a reasonable fastest time unit, 50 weeks would be a reasonable medium time unit, and 50 months would be a reasonable longest time unit. Since we have discerned a medium timing, it must be 50 weeks. That will put the calendar date around the third week of September.
The end.
