A Witch's Moon Rosary

In the old days, a witch's rosary would likely have been little more than a cord with 9 or 13 knots tied into it, and it would have been used in spell-casting, mainly. In modern days, we have many skilled craftspeople making beautiful works of art for us to use in our Craft. Some Witches are very devotional in nature, and they may find the use of repeated chants or incantations to be helpful to them in attaining altered states of consciousness. Those chants or incantations, if well constructed, can also serve as mnemonic devices for substantive knowledge. For instance, the Rosary of the Moon contains information about the Women's Mysteries or the Goddess's Mysteries.

I declare the Mystery of the Maiden:
Her power is to open.
What is budding, She will grow.
Hear Her counsel: GIVE IT ROOM.

I declare the Mystery of the Mother:
Her power is to hold.
What is fruiting, She will sustain.
Hear Her counsel: ENJOY IT NOW.

I declare the Mystery of the Crone:
Her power is to close.
What is withering, She will destroy.
Hear Her counsel: LET IT GO.

A Foe and A Chicken: Witches' Proverb

A FOE AND A CHICKEN
WILL ALWAYS BE PICKIN',
BUT THE FIX CAN BE FOUND
JUST AS NEAR AS YOUR KITCHEN.

Like most cultural subsets, Witches have their own sayings, proverbs, adages, and what not. Oftentimes, Witches' Proverbs will hint at some magical practice. The above is an example.

How do you fix a chicken from your kitchen?
Kill it and eat it.

How do you fix a foe from your kitchen?
An excellent banishing spell can be done with two ingredients that most people have in their kitchens.
