Divination, Playing Cards

Another example of a reading where the female Querent (Q) had no particular question, but just wanted a general look at the future. The events of this reading have already come to pass, so I have no hesitation in sharing it with you. Plus, it has some instructive features to it.
The first line is the Ace of Clubs, the 4 of Diamonds, and the 9 of Spades. A Club-Diamond-Spade line indicates the Q doing something financially detrimental. In this instance, I told her that there would be a problem with her bank account, such as an overdraft, and that she would be notified by her bank of such.
The second line is the Jack of Clubs, the Queen of Clubs, and the 7 of Spades. The Court Cards often give card readers trouble because it is so difficult to determine precisely whom the Court card represents. This is made easier in some old card reading systems, though, by use of the JACK OF CLUBS or the JACK OF HEARTS as a qualifer. If the Jack of Clubs or Jack of Hearts falls next to another Court card, the cards are trying to give you some specificity. Those combinations involving the Jack of Hearts will indicate family members (for example, Jack of Hearts + Queen of Diamonds = the Querent's mother). Those combinations involving the Jack of Clubs will involve friends or professional people (for example, the Jack of Clubs + King of Spades = a doctor).
In this instance, the combination Jack of Clubs + Queen of Clubs = a female friend. A Club-Club-Spade line indicates some activity stopping abruptly. The 7 of Spades, itself, indicates tears. The two 9s, above and below the 7 of Spades, give the clue that the trouble is a downturn in finances. I told the Q that a female friend would come to her in tears because of an abrupt change in the friend's life that would bring the friend great financial trouble. More specific than this we cannot be. After all, we have only 9 cards before us.
The final row, the 3 of Hearts, the 6 of Clubs, and the 9 of Diamonds. A Heart-Club-Diamond line indicates hard work paying off. The 3 of Hearts often indicates a child. The 6 of Clubs often indicates school and education. The 9 of Diamonds, per above, can indicate a change in finances. But one of its lesser-used meanings is recognition or fame. The meaning is clear: The child will receive an award at school for work well done. I knew it was a male child because the Jack of Clubs is just above the 3 of Hearts. Furthermore, I knew that the Q would receive a communication from the school about it, based on the Ace of Clubs above the Jack of Clubs. The first downward column on the left, and the third row are connected: They are all part of the same prediction. The Q will receive notification from the school that her son has been selected for an academic achievement award.
This Square of Nine spread is a useful one for a quick reading. I have mostly focused on the three horizontal rows in this entry. In a complete reading, however, all rows and columns will be read, as well as the two diagonals, thus giving scope for as many as eight predictions. The predictions are often fewer, however, because some of the rows and columns will be intermingled, giving only one prediction when combined
What I have written above, however, is sufficient for an example.
