Spellbook: When Virtue or Patience Fails
Mar. 6th, 2023 04:14 pm
This is the eighth and final section of the current spellbook I am making for someone. It includes the following:
To Remove Someone From Your Life
Dealing with Obnoxious People at Work
Salt and Pepper Magic
The Coffin Stone
The Pinched Glove: An old-time curse, included for historical purposes. Even if you *could* secure the urine of a black cat, are you really going to carry your cauldron to a graveyard? No. You are not. What is important about this curse is that it has its own traditional countercurse. Not every curse does.
Red Pepper Strife
To Silence a Gossip
The House Hex
The Hagstone Curse: Not everything called a "curse" is actually a curse. And conversely, some things *are* curses even when they are called something else. The Hagstone Curse is one of those noncurses. It uncovers mischief makers. Is some petty thief breaking into cars in your neighborhood and stealing change or other items? Got a saboteur, embezzler, or corporate spy at in the office? Is Jolene trying to take your man down at the corner bar? This old spell will make those mofos trip up and get discovered.
The Deep Freeze: I've known this one since junior high school. Be careful with it, though. It's easy to break. For instance, if someone put me in the Deep Freeze, I would break the freezer and that would break the spell.
The Selinontios: An ancient Roman spell, with Cassandra-like effects. Everyone will think that the subject of the spell is spouting gibberish. Good against gossips, false witnesses, and sociopaths.
The I Don't: When your boyfriend or girlfriend breaks up with you and then marries someone else in, like, two weeks. Yep. You've probably been had. Idk . . . you might also use it when a 19-year-old model/waitress/actress convinces your wealthy 90-year-old grandpa to get married.
The Marshmallow Hex: Getting bullied? (1) Forgive; (2) get a Marshmallow; (3) turn the bully's attention elsewhere.
Driving Away the Spotted Hag: This spell is older than some hills. Literally.
Common Post-Cursing Questions and Answers
Well, that's a wrap.
